"Hello, I just listened to a few bars of your Aug 5th "Yesterday" recording. I wanted you to know that I found what I heard to be offensive not only to those who might have the disease, Leprosy, but also to others who deal with their own diasabilities. While I believe you do have the right to post it, I feel it should contain a parental advisory of some sort. I have children who listen on SingSnap, and would not want them to hear this. I have reported the song as potentially offensive. Thank you. Angela" OH YES! I offended a US citizen! So she found what she heard "to be offensive not only to those who might have the disease, Leprosy, but also to others who deal with their own diasabilities (sic) " - even without asking them! How fabulous it must be to be able to think for all those poor dumb defenceless disabled people out there, and know what they are thinking! How wonderful to be her children, protected from the likes of me!

You..You..How could you go and offend someone like that. If her kids are going to listen to music on sing snap, they will hear things that offend, make them think, make them cry and make them laugh. That's life. Maybe she burns books.

Beautiful voice, Sally...
I see nothing offensive in this... (well, maybe 'oops there goes my leg' might offend some people I suppose.... )
How and why does it differ from Gwyneth Paltrows much lauded 'poem' about Aids at the beginning of the Blood Diamond videa (which you cannot bypass, by the way)??
Leprosy is a terrible disease - in Medieval England for example, it was regarded as a living death. Some old churches have a leper's squint which was the only way people with the disease were allowed to draw close to the Mass.

QueeneMab

Offensive it isn't, but thought provoking maybe.
But then perhaps she is uncomfortable thinking about the suffering of others, after all most Americans do live in a very protected environment and unlike some of the rest of us they almost never have to see poverty or illness even in parts of the world they are at war with.
BTW - you have a great voice Sal.
